Spielmodus Jugend EURO 2012
Die Handball Jugend Europameisterschaft 2012 wird vom 12.-22. Juli 2012 mit 16 teilnehmenden Nationen ausgetragen.
Die 16 Mannschaften werden in 4 Vorrundengruppen à 4 Teams gelost.
Diese kämpfen in der Vorrunde um Platz 1 und 2 ihrer jeweiligen Gruppe, welche die Qualifikation für die Hauptrunde bedeuten. Die Teams auf Platz 3 und 4 aus der Gruppenphase gelangen in die Zwischenrunde.
In der Hauptrunde entscheidet sich, wer in das Halbfinale und schließlich ins Finale gelangt.
Da bei der Handball Jugend Europameisterschaft 2012 alle Plätze ausgespielt werden, finden zusätzlich noch Platzierungsspiele statt, bei denen in der Hauptrunde um die Plätze 3-8 und in der Zwischenrunde um die Plätze 9-16 gespielt werden.
Playing mode
The Handball Youth European Championship 2012 will be staged from July 12th -22nd 2012 by 16 participating nations.
Out of those 16 teams, 4 preliminary groups á 4 teams will be drawn.
These teams compete for 1st and 2nd place in their group during the preliminary round, which would qualify them for the main round. Teams on 3rd and 4th place will go to the intermediate round.
The main round will reveal the semi-finalists and finalists.
Since all places at the Handball Youth European Championship have to be played for, there will be placement matches. In the main round, places 3-8, and in the intermediate round places 9-16,will be played for.
